Senior Statutory Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Statutory Accountant to join our Financial Control team at CENTRAL ENGLAND CO-OPERATIVE LIMITED. As a critical member of our team, you will play a key role in maintaining excellent standards of financial control and ensuring the Society's financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the preparation of statutory and regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements.
  2. Prepare year-end Group and Subsidiary financial statements, and lead the audit process to ensure accuracy and transparency.
  3. Maintain a working knowledge of financial standards and regulations, staying up-to-date with changes and developments.
  4. Support the Head of Financial Control in providing technical accounting advice to the business, ensuring that financial decisions are informed and accurate.
  5. Collaborate with the team to maintain a high level of financial control, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
