Job Overview

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health Nurse Advisor to join our team. As a Specialist Occupational Health Nurse Advisor, you will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining the health, safety, and wellbeing of our staff.

The successful candidate will be a qualified Occupational Health Nurse with a strong background in managing accidents and injuries within the healthcare setting. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.

Key responsibilities will include developing guidelines and policies, working closely with the Occupational Health team to provide a comprehensive range of services to our staff, and contributing to the development of the service.

We are committed to supporting continuing professional development and provide in-house and external training courses to support the clinical team's expert knowledge and skills.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Manage accidents and injuries within the healthcare setting
  • Develop guidelines and policies
  • Work closely with the Occupational Health team to provide a comprehensive range of services
  • Contribute to the development of the service

Person Specification

  • Current NMC Registration
  • Register Nurse (Adult)
  • Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health
  • Experience of working as part of an Occupational Health team
  • Good working knowledge of managing accidents/injuries within the healthcare setting and planning appropriate follow-up treatment
  • Experience of developing guidelines and policy formulation
  • Excellent communication skills with accurate written and spoken English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with clients of all levels including handling distressed clients sensitively
