Job Opportunity: Nursery Chef

Blue Arrow is seeking a skilled and experienced Nursery Chef to join our team. As a key member of our client's Day Nursery, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals to the 54 children in their care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals that cater to the diverse needs of children aged 4 months to 5 years.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate with the nursery team to create a basic menu that meets the children's dietary requirements.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Level 2 qualification or Food Hygiene certificate.
  • Previous experience in a day nursery or similar setting.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
