Job Title: Nursery Chef

Location: Oxford

Sector: Nursery

Salary: £23,206 per annum (35 hours a week Monday to Friday 8.45-415)

The site is accessible by public transport and there is NO PARKING on site available at this time.

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nursery Chef to join our team at a Day Nursery in Oxford. As a Nursery Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals to our 54 children, ranging in age from 4 months to 5 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals for children with various dietary requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met
  • Understand and accommodate a range of allergens
  • Create a basic menu with the nursery
  • Previous experience in a day nursery is beneficial
  • Ability to work independently

Requirements:

  • Relevant Level 2 qualification/Food Hygiene certificate
  • Good organizational skills
  • Previous experience cooking for large groups
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Current DBS/happy to apply for a DBS
