About the Role

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Secretary to join our ENT department. As a Medical Secretary, you will play a vital role in supporting the team by providing administrative assistance, managing schedules, and coordinating appointments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deal efficiently and effectively with patient enquiries, providing routine and non-routine information and non-clinical advice.
  • Update the Referral to Treatment (RTT) system in accordance with Trust guidelines.
  • Provide flexible cover and support to secretarial colleagues to ensure the department is working optimally.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Willingness to undertake additional training to carry out the duties required.
  • Good general standard of literacy and numeracy.

Desirable

  • RSA III or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology/AMSPAR qualification.
