Job Title: Global Head of DevOps

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Global Head of DevOps to lead our organization's DevOps practice and drive strategic initiatives across the globe.

About the Role

The Global Head of DevOps will be responsible for cultivating a cohesive and high-performing team, promoting a culture of trust, respect, and continuous learning across multiple regions and time-zones.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Effective Team Leadership: Foster a culture of trust, respect, and continuous learning across multiple regions and time-zones.
  2. Change Management and Transformation: Encourage innovation and advocate for the adoption of new technologies and processes.
  3. Scaling and Complexity: Ensure scalability, maintainability, and consistency in Sportradar's technology ecosystem across various projects and teams.
  4. Aligning Business and Technology Objectives: Play a pivotal role in aligning technology initiatives with the overall business strategy.
  5. Effective Resource Management: Manage resources effectively and optimize budgets while ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services.
  6. Encouraging Continuous Improvement: Instill a mindset of continuous improvement within DevOps teams.
  7. Vendor Management and Technology Evaluation: Make informed decisions about technology adoption and evaluate third-party tools.
  8. Line Management and Hiring: Lead and manage managers within the DevOps organization and attract and hire top talent.
Requirements
  • A proven track record of leading and managing global DevOps teams.
  • Extensive experience and expertise in DevOps tooling and practices.
  • Proficiency in serverless technologies and major cloud platforms.
  • Substantial expertise in GNU/Linux OS administration.
  • A background in application development, technical architecture, operations, or application support.
  • Strong expertise in observability practices and advanced scripting skills.
  • A deep understanding of version control systems and agile practices.
