Job Title: Physiotherapist - Acute Care Specialist

NLG Health is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join our team in a Hospital in Croydon. As a Physiotherapist in this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing specialist assessments and treatments to clients with complex needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of clients with complex needs using evidence-based principles within Critical Care and Medicine, Orthopaedics and Surgery, and Care of the Elderly.
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner, providing specialist assessments and treatments to clients, and maintaining records in line with Trust and professional standards.
  • Communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders, including patients, family/carers, and the Multi-Disciplinary Team.
  • Provide leadership, training, and education to junior staff, students, and assistants, and supervise junior staff and assistants.
  • Deputise for the clinical lead in the absence.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Physiotherapist registered with The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and have NHS Acute, Respiratory, ITU, and Discharge experience. You must be confident in managing busy caseloads and be able to work under pressure, complying with CQC regulation requirements. It is essential that you work within codes of practice and professional guidelines and be able to communicate health issues effectively and courageously.

You must currently be living in the UK, have effective communication skills, an excellent attendance record, and the ability to work under pressure. Additionally, it is essential that you have a minimum of 6 months previous work experience within an acute healthcare setting and be able to provide 2 professional references.
