We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our team in Exeter, responsible for managing the design process, promoting integration of disciplines, and selecting, managing, and appointing consultants to ensure they perform in line with their deed and agreed scope of services.
Key Responsibilities- Design Process Management: Lead the design process to produce accurate information in line with the agreed specification and cost plan/estimate.
- Design Programme Development: Develop a design programme with consultants to meet the agreed whole life programme dates.
- Design Team Leadership: Chair design team meetings and issue actions.
- Design Compliance: Produce designs that meet all necessary statutory and regulatory approvals and record on appropriate tracking logs.
The ideal candidate will have managed design on projects between 10M-40M across multiple sectors, have an understanding of CAD, Microsoft Office, and various other construction technology, and be able to manage specialist designers/subcontractors and supply chain partners.
