We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing Manager to join our Construction and Standards team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of all MEP investment across all live construction projects, sustainability investments, and ongoing Data Centre operations.
Key Responsibilities- Attend internal pre-construction investment steering groups and working group meetings to assist internal stakeholders with all MEP matters.
- Manage all construction technical matters and queries, acting as a liaison between our MEP consultant engineers, framework contractors, and construction oversight partners.
- Be familiar with our MEP and construction standards to ensure suppliers meet these requirements, and monitor evolving trends and regulations to ensure standards are current.
- Deal with incident management within our key data centres and critical buildings, managing the escalation process to key stakeholders and contributing to resolutions with our supply chain partners.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement with our suppliers.
- Chair meetings and liaise with stakeholders and key suppliers, including MEP consultant partners.
- Attend alternating project construction meetings to support our framework contractors and MEP consultants.
- Manage construction aspects to ensure the site environment, health and safety, wellbeing, quality, and commissioning of the project are reported in a timely manner.
- Identify and mitigate embedded MEP services that impose a risk to project timeline and quality.
- Significant industry experience in MEP construction management.
- Relevant bachelor's degree in a property, engineering, or construction-related field.
- MEP-related construction experience, with a focus on project management.
- Knowledge of building safety legislation, building standards, construction contracts, and health and safety requirements.
- Experience of working in diverse teams with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience of working with common construction software, such as AutoCAD and BIM.
- Experience and knowledge of sustainability pledges and their impact on M&E systems.
- Experience of working with critical infrastructure to meet resiliency requirements.
