About this role

We are seeking a skilled Technology Manager to join our client as part of their team.

The successful candidate will oversee the technology budget to ensure cost-effectiveness, manage the technology department, and provide technology-related support to senior management and directors.

Key responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities of the Technology Manager include:

  • Supplier Management: Oversee MSP contracts and helpdesks.
  • Systems Coordination: Design, develop, implement, and manage systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Co-Management with MSPs: Support and manage their Venues' Microsoft 365 environment, internal LAN infrastructure, and handle escalations.
  • Manage other technology systems including VoIP, printers, servers, anti-virus, and digital signage across Venues.

The ideal candidate will have proven managerial experience in leading IT/Technology departments and be skilled in AV systems, network infrastructure, and Microsoft technologies, including Azure.

Additionally, they will possess excellent people management skills, effective communication abilities, and hold relevant qualifications such as a degree in IT and certifications like CompTIA, Microsoft, and CCNA.

About the client

The client is a multi-purpose venue in the City of Westminster, London, serving primarily as a Methodist Church and a conference centre, but also houses an art gallery, a restaurant, and office spaces.

They are a charity owned by Trustees appointed by the Methodist Church; as such they aim to conduct business in line with the ethics of the Methodist Church and their Venues' values.

The client is looking for a Technology Manager who will support and oversee the effective planning and delivery of technology across their Venues' operation.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will need to have:

  • Proven managerial experience in leading IT/Technology departments.
  • Skills in AV systems, network infrastructure, and Microsoft technologies, including Azure.
  • Excellent people management skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a degree in IT and certifications like CompTIA, Microsoft, and CCNA.
