About the Role

The Chief Information Risk Officer will be responsible for:

  1. Owning the IT risk management lifecycle, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating IT risks.
  2. Performing periodic IT risk assessments and in case of critical IT incidents.
  3. Assessing risk and controls: Evaluating risks and controls associated with IT processes for all critical applications, providing detailed assessments and recommendations.
  4. Creating a robust IT internal control framework that aligns with industry best practices and relevant legislations.
  5. Performing IT audits: Managing the IT audit process with external auditors, testing IT controls as part of multiple audits within the EMEA region.
  6. Bridging between IT risk and external auditor.
  7. Providing guidance to junior IT risk management staff, creating IT risk awareness, and sharing IT risk knowledge within the team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in IT risk, IT audit, with a proven track record of setting up IT internal control frameworks for multiple companies and environments.
  2. Specialized knowledge in identifying critical applications, mapping IT processes, and assessing risk and controls.
  3. Familiarity with and adherence to industry best practices in IT internal controls.
  4. Strong stakeholder management skills, experience with Management reporting, external auditor communication.
