Bells of Lazonby is a renowned family bakery with a rich history, producing high-quality baked goods for over 75 years. We operate two bakeries, one conventional and the other dedicated to Gluten, Wheat, and Milk-Free products.
We specialize in cake and sweet pastry tart products, supplying major UK retailers with ambient Free From Ranges and leading Coffee Shop Chains with ambient and frozen ranges. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. As a key member of the team, you will provide essential support to ensure the smooth operation of the buying process. You will work closely with the procurement team, liaising with suppliers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams within the company.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and implementing procurement strategy
- Compiling and analyzing data related to purchasing activity to support decision-making
- Conducting supplier negotiations to secure best price, quantity, delivery, and terms
- Supporting and leading tenders, projects, implementing procedures, and running meetings
- Handling and managing supply chain issues as they arise
