About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gastroenterology Consultant to join our team at the Isle of Wight NHS Trust. As a key member of our gastroenterology service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients, including outpatient, inpatient, and endoscopic services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive gastroenterology services, including endoscopy, to patients with a range of gastrointestinal conditions.
  • Participate in the ongoing development of our gastroenterology service, ensuring it meets national and NICE frameworks.
  • Supervise and manage junior medical staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Contribute to teaching, research, and education activities, both locally and nationally.
  • Engage in medical audit and clinical effectiveness activities, fostering improvements in quality and standards.
