Associate Director of Quantity Surveying

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Quantity Surveying to join our team in Norwich. As a key member of our multi-disciplined team, you will oversee the project delivery of a number of construction projects, leading the Quantity Surveying service and acting as a key client contact regarding construction contracts, frameworks, and cost items at a strategic level.
Key Responsibilities- Lead on the delivery of construction projects with our clients, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to cost, and within the expected quality criteria.
- Provide professional QS advice to clients and senior stakeholders, supporting the QS and wider multi-disciplinary project team.
- Manage the resourcing of the QS discipline, including the commission of external consultants as required.
- Act as the professional technical lead at an office level, ensuring company and working practices are adhered to and delivered to common professional standards that meet client needs.
- Develop and maintain local practice procedures via the Best Practice Group.
- Procure and deliver projects using the most appropriate contract, such as those within the JCT Suite/NEC.
- Support NCC procurement in compliance with the tender evaluation process.
- Ensure business plan objectives and targets are delivered within agreed profit margins.
- Provide regular commercial updates and/or cost reports to project stakeholders.
- Professional Chartered membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related discipline and/or significant relevant experience.
- Knowledge of a range of construction contract procedures and financial regulations.
- Understanding of business planning, commercial risk management, and financial management, with demonstrable success in securing new business opportunities.
- Comprehensive knowledge and proficient in the use of JCT Suite of Contracts/NEC Contracts.
- Proficient in using CostX software (or equivalent product) for measurement and billing.
- Familiar with relevant construction, health and safety legislation and risks and hazards, including the CDM Regulations.
- Hold a current CSCS site card or prepared to attain.
- Leadership/Management experience.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
