Job Title: Grade Assist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grade Assist to join our team at Halo Post Production Facility. As a Grade Assist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our colour grading team, ensuring the highest quality output for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conform and colourist tasks using Baselight, ensuring technical and creative accuracy
  • Communicate effectively with colourists and other team members to ensure seamless project delivery
  • QC incoming media, including RAW and VFX, to ensure technical and creative standards are met
  • Work closely with the online support team to ensure efficient project delivery
  • Work remotely and on-site, including shifts, weekends, and late evenings as required
Requirements:
  • Experience in conforming in Baselight, using EDLs, AAFs, and XMLs
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail
  • Previous experience in a DI film environment and assistant work on films in a grade environment is preferred
  • Knowledge of HDR processes and experience of HDR workflows, including ACES
  • Familiarity with VFX workflows, including VFX turnovers and conforms
  • Familiarity with Baselight/Avid Round-trip AAF renderless workflows is beneficial
  • Excellent camera format knowledge, including high-end digital film cameras and their associated 4K/UHD workflow processes
  • Previous post-production experience in a post-production house or MCR environment is essential
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with creative operators and producers
  • Ability to understand technical workflows and assist with their development
