About the Role

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Management Specialist to join our team. As an Associate Project Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting our Project Managers to deliver assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Governance and Leadership - Utilize project management methodologies and tools to lead and motivate the delivery team, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Financial Management and Planning - Manage project budgets and cost benefit cases, ensuring that costs are tracked and reported accurately.
  • Resource Management - Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources to ensure that projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Information Management - Record and maintain key project information, ensuring that stakeholders have access to accurate and timely data.
  • Stakeholder Management - Identify and engage with stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and that the project is delivered in a way that meets their expectations.
  • Communications - Develop and implement effective communication plans to ensure that stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Risk Management - Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure that projects are delivered without undue risk.
  • Change Control and Lessons Learned - Identify and manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, and document lessons learned to improve future project delivery.

Requirements

  • Prince 2 (foundation level) accredited or equivalent qualification such as APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) or MSP Foundation.
  • Comprehensive experience of using Microsoft tools.
  • Experience of managing budgets and cost benefit cases.
  • Experience of working in a project team.
  • Knowledge of project methodologies and software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
