About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Practitioner to join our team at the East Kent Colleges Group. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students with high levels of need, ensuring they receive the best possible education and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities, including Autistic Spectrum Condition, Social, Emotional and Mental health needs, Global learning delay, Language & Communication, Sensory, and Physical needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.
  • Assist students with personal care, mobility, and specific medical/feeding needs, as required.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social interaction and emotional well-being among students.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date with best practices and share knowledge with colleagues.

About You

We are looking for an individual with strong communication skills, a passion for inspiring students to learn, and the ability to work well under pressure. Previous experience working with students with high needs is desirable, but not essential. We offer comprehensive training and support to ensure you have the skills and confidence to excel in this role.
