In Technology Group is seeking a skilled IT Support Engineer to join their Managed Services team in providing top-notch IT support to over 20 schools across North London.


This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic education environment, assisting staff and students with a range of technical issues.


The successful candidate will be visiting different educational trusts, all situated within a 45-minute drive of their office in North London. A driving license and access to own car are required, with mileage paid.


Phone, email, and remote support will also be provided to ensure all issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.


Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site IT support to staff and students at various schools
  • Maintain, update, and upgrade school infrastructure to ensure optimal performance
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, installing and monitoring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
  • Assist with setting up and maintaining computers and other IT equipment, ensuring security and privacy of networks and computer systems
  • Monitor and manage user access rights, researching and recommending hardware and software solutions to improve the system
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of IT documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards

Technical and Personable Skill Requirements

  • Strong understanding of networking principles, including Active Directory, Backup Solutions, and Office 365 management
  • Experience with SharePoint, MDM Setups via Intune or other platforms, and Cloud Support - Azure/AWS
  • Knowledge of network protocols, including DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP, as well as router/switch setups and firewall management
  • Driving license and access to own car

Highly Desired

  • Previous experience working in a school/education environment
  • MSP experience
  • Immediate starts

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, confidently and maturely speaking with head teachers and head of departments.


Estimated salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
