Aesthetic Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aesthetics Lecturer to join our team at Newcastle College. As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students, ensuring they achieve their qualifications and develop the skills and knowledge required for their chosen career paths.

• Deliver the Further Education and Training specification in Aesthetics to students, using a range of teaching methods and resources to engage and motivate learners.
• Plan and coordinate lessons, resources, and support to enable learners to achieve their qualifications, including setting and monitoring regular homework and keeping accurate records of student progress.
• Use the College's online systems to track student progress and attendance, and to communicate with students and colleagues.
• Contribute to the development of the College's curriculum and assessment strategies, and participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning.
• Attend meetings and training days, and participate in professional development activities to maintain and enhance your teaching skills and knowledge.

• Substantial experience in the Further Education and Training sector, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
• A UK-recognised teaching qualification (DTLLS, PCET, PGCE, or QCF Level 5 Diploma in Education), and a Level 3 or above qualification in Aesthetics.
• Previous experience working as a Lecturer or Teacher, with a successful record of retention and achievement.
• GCSEs in both Maths and English at grade A-C or equivalent, and a valid DBS registered with the online update service.
• Proven experience of consistently good or outstanding teaching, and the ability to travel to, in, and around Newcastle.
