About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Leader to lead our Accounting & Finance department in the public sector. The successful candidate will be adept at strategic financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Accounting & Finance department, ensuring effective financial management and control.
  • Develop and implement strategic financial plans, aligning with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing accurate and timely financial information.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, maintaining a high level of financial governance.
  • Report on financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for cost savings.
  • Work closely with other senior managers to drive financial success, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures, optimizing financial resources and improving efficiency.
  • Manage and develop a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.

Requirements

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA), demonstrating expertise and commitment to the field.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards, with experience in strategic planning and budgeting.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders.
