We are seeking a motivated Deputy Care Manager to join our dedicated team and help us continue our mission of excellence.

As the Deputy Care Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Registered Care Manager to uphold and elevate the quality of our domiciliary care services. Your key responsibilities will include:

Leadership & Support: Collaborate closely with the Registered Care Manager to ensure the delivery of high-standard domiciliary care services.
Service Excellence: Advocate for person-centered care practices, maintaining the highest levels of service quality.
Operational Management: Act as the Deputy Care Manager in the absence of the Registered Care Manager, making informed decisions within established guidelines.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate reporting to regulatory bodies, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and manage Local Authority submissions.
Client Management: Oversee the entire client assessment process from initial contact through to service commencement, adhering to company policies and best practices.
Care Planning: Conduct comprehensive care planning and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control systems, conducting regular quality assurance visits for clients.
Issue Resolution: Manage and investigate complaints and incidents, implementing necessary improvements.
Team Development: Support the recruitment, training, and management of care staff and office personnel to maintain a high-performing team. Participate in disciplinary processes in line with company policies and HR guidance.
Financial Oversight: Manage payroll and budgets, ensuring accuracy and integrity across relevant platforms.
Industry Awareness: Stay informed about legislative and regulatory changes within the care sector.

Requirements:
Experience: Extensive background in care with a proven history of delivering excellent customer service.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience in managing teams to provide high-quality domiciliary care.
Qualifications: Working towards or holding a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care.
Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of compliance and legislative requirements in the care sector.
Technical Skills: Proficient in care assessment planning and systems management.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Personal Attributes: Highly organized, motivated, and passionate about delivering top-quality care.
Flexibility: Willingness to participate in on-call duties and travel for client assessments as needed.
IT Proficiency: Skilled in using IT systems relevant to care management.
Transportation: Possess a valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of CQC and safeguarding requirements.
Educational Background: Valid NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health and Social Care, with a willingness to pursue NVQ Level 5.
