Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapist to develop and lead a new and innovative Speech and Language therapy team in North East Essex. The successful applicant will have a passion for promoting the dignity and quality of life of older people, be well-organised, and have a good understanding of cognitive impairment and dementia.

Main Duties
  • Contribute professional expertise to current service provision and future service developments.
  • Undertake highly specialist clinical work.
  • Provide Speech and Language Therapy advice to other disciplines, providing training, supervision and support as required.
  • Carry out professional leadership responsibilities as delegated by the Head of Older Persons Community Therapy (Mental Health).
  • Undertake research and other tasks that contribute to the implementation of the Trust Strategy for Allied Health Professions.

Staff Bank

Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings. Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.

All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.
