Role Overview:

NHS Scotland seeks a highly skilled Critical Care Pharmacist to join our team. As a critical member of the multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and promote optimal outcomes from medicines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the clinical pharmacy service in the face of emerging challenges around site capacity and patient flow.
  • Provide expert advice on medication management and optimize prescribing practices within the Critical Care unit.
  • Work collaboratively with members of the Critical Care multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Master of Pharmacy Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Experience working in a critical care environment, ideally with experience of proactively influencing prescribing within a clinical setting.

Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate will be offered a salary of £48,788 - £56,747 per annum, plus benefits including a contributory pension scheme and opportunities for professional development.
