We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Governance and Risk Officer to join our Asset Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of our 1st Line control environment, monitoring and surveillance activities, and management of the oversight programme.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the effective operation of the 1st Line Asset Management control environment, including relevant monitoring, surveillance activities, and management of the oversight programme.
- Conduct 1st Line monitoring activity, surveillance, and oversight, and report the results via Management Information (MI) to senior management.
- Ensure Asset Management is effectively managing risks, providing expert and value-adding risk advice in a business-focused and pragmatic way.
- Encourage an appropriate risk culture, delivering fair outcomes for our customers within risk appetite.
- Facilitate an effective and balanced relationship with the 2nd Line Risk and Compliance oversight function.
- Expert knowledge of Asset Management products and services.
- Knowledge and expertise of regulations impacting Asset Management firms.
- Technical knowledge and experience of regulatory and risk management frameworks.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, communication skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to deliver under tight time pressure.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and other business lines.
