Job Title: Import Export Logistics Team Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Import Export Logistics Team Leader to lead our Distribution team in our modern Essex warehouse and office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials, managing customs procedures, and mentoring a small team of logistics professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inward IPR shipments, ensuring correct customs procedures are followed and goods are received and checked to a high standard.
  • Develop and implement effective import export documentation processes, including IRP shipments.
  • Mentor and guide the distribution team to ensure orders are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
  • Update and manage aspects of the Production Report, including stock movements and inventory levels.
  • Manage in-house corporate personalizing and engraving schedules, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Track and chase inward shipments from suppliers, escalating issues where necessary to ensure timely delivery.
  • Prepare and present day-end reports to relevant staff on goods in and goods out, stock control, and other key metrics.
  • Ensure stock items are protected and stored appropriately, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Record stock movements, including silverware and samples, and perform quarterly stock takes to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide accurate and timely delivery quotes to the sales team, identifying different options and costs, including allowances for duties and taxes.
  • Control outward shipments of IPR shipments, ensuring all documentation is logged for quarterly review.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in logistics, customs, imports, and exports.
  • Ability to develop and mentor a distribution team.
  • Strong stock management and logistics skills.
  • Ability to use and improve internal systems, including procedures and controls.
  • Full, clean driving license is an essential requirement.
  • Health and safety awareness and a strong understanding of company policies and procedures.
