About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Specialist to join our team at HMP The Verne, a category C adult male prison. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth and safe operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on commercial or industrial heating and water systems
  • Ensure compliance with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
  • Collaborate with experienced colleagues to maintain a safe and secure environment
  • Contribute to the rehabilitation and positive change of prisoners
Requirements
  • Two years' experience working in a role as a plumber or equivalent
  • C&G 6189 Plumbing and domestic heating certification
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
