Job Title: Marketing and Communications Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing and Communications Director to join our team at Magdalen College School. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy to promote the school to current and prospective parents, students, staff, and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a marketing and communications strategy to promote the school's brand and values
  • Manage the school's website, social media, and digital marketing campaigns to engage with key audiences
  • Produce high-quality marketing materials, including print and online content, to support the school's marketing and communications objectives
  • Manage the school's photo and video library, including the acquisition of new photography and video across all areas of the school
  • Manage the school's social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn, and ensure a timely response to comments and messages
  • Assist the Admissions team with Open Events, supplying them with promotional materials and providing additional hands-on support during busy times
  • Oversee the Marketing Officer in his management of press cuttings portfolio via Coverage Book software

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of marketing in education or a similar field
  • Highly skilled communicator with management experience of developing marketing and communication strategies and campaigns for diverse audiences
  • Understanding of current practices and principles of all aspects of marketing, specifically digital and website
  • Strong social media and digital skills, including knowledge of WordPress or a similar CMS
  • First-rate organisational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects on deadline and within budget
