About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sonographer to join our team at Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our ultrasound department, you will be responsible for performing a range of ultrasound examinations, including obstetric, gynaecological, and general ultrasound scans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations, including obstetric, gynaecological, and general ultrasound scans.
  • Generate accurate and comprehensive diagnostic reports.
  • Liaise with other departments and professionals within the Trust to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Participate in the BMUS recommended Peer audit review process to maintain high standards of practice.
  • Supervise and mentor ultrasound students, ensuring they receive high-quality training and education.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in ultrasound technology and best practices through ongoing professional development.
Requirements
  • Current registration with a statutory regulator.
  • DCR or Degree in Radiography.
  • PGD in ultrasound or equivalent.
  • Obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
