About This Opportunity

We are seeking a Nature Focused Community Developer to join our team in Manchester.

The successful candidate will support our plans and ambitions by developing and delivering nature focused, creative and cultural activities with diverse audiences across Greater Manchester.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of how the UK's largest conservation charity delivers its urban ambition to address unequal access to nature, beauty and history.

You will work with community partners, other organisations and volunteers at sites including parks and community gardens.

As a key member of our Manchester team, you will contribute to a positive, inclusive and productive place for staff and volunteers.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about creativity, community engagement and collaboration.

About You

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, e.g. budget management, keeping and updating records, meeting deadlines
  • Excellent people and communication skills, establishing positive relationships with both external and internal collaborators
  • Able to work independently as well as with a team, contributing to a positive, inclusive and productive place for staff and volunteers
  • Able to balance competing priorities and demands
  • Experience in delivering learning programmes and events and/or working with community or commercial partners to deliver events and activities
  • Understanding of an audience-led approach and the ability to evaluate the impact and use feedback to further develop an offer or event

The Package

  • A competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience
