The Community Reach Center (CRC), a leading non-profit organization, is seeking a progressive and mission-driven physician leader to become its next Chief Medical Officer. This exceptional opportunity will enable the successful candidate to join a team dedicated to enhancing the health of the community.

As a leading medical director for community health services, you will have the opportunity to work in a home-based setting in Adams and Broomfield County, Colorado. CRC is a $46 million non-profit system providing a range of behavioral health services, including outpatient care, residential programs, community-based programs, school-based programs, and justice, accountability, and recovery (JAR) programs.

CRC offers treatment through various locations and telehealth services, supporting the health and wellness of all ages. The organization is an industry leader in community education, offering programs such as Mental Health First Aid classes to empower the community in responding effectively to mental health challenges.

You will be part of a community where adult members with a mental health diagnosis can find acceptance, purpose, and empowerment through peer-run services. Members participate in daily community activities to learn skills, socialize, and establish positive relationships.

In addition, CRC provides compassionate and thorough pediatric care to children from birth to age 21 through Mountainland Pediatrics and Broomfield Pediatrics.

The Opportunity

The Chief Medical Officer provides medical leadership of all CRC service lines, supervising medical provider staff and collaborating with the COO on clinical and administrative operations. You will ensure that all clinical staff work collaboratively on behalf of each patient served.

This is a 1/2 to full-time opportunity with the option to carry a small case load.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with state, company policies, and other regulations governing mental health services.
  • Coordinate medical services with other departments throughout the organization.
  • Cooperate with law enforcement departments, hospitals, state, and community organizations in the interest of persons referred for services.
  • Organize and manage medical administration, including medical necessity reviews.
  • Assure all patients receive appropriate evaluation, diagnosis, medical screening, psychiatric evaluations, and treatment.
  • Establish criteria for the use of hospital and residential beds.
  • Serve as a member of the Hospital Review, Difficult Case Review, Clinical Management Team, Leadership Team, Executive Officer Team, and other committees as assigned.
  • Provide supervision to direct reports and medical students for clinical supervision and/or training.
  • Coordinate with Associate Medical Director of Pediatric Programs and Director of Nursing around daily practice measures and regulatory requirements for pediatric practitioners and practice operations.
  • Assist with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting needs of the program while maintaining established budgets.
Requirements
  • Good standing current MD or DO from accredited allopathic or osteopathic medical school + board eligible or certified in psychiatry and maintained in good standing thereafter.
  • Requires supervisory or management experience in community psychiatry and up-to-date knowledge of psychopharmacology.
  • Experience working with differing payment models, care transformation, and strategic growth.
  • Comfort level working with Electronic Health Records.
  • Strong physician, employee, and community stakeholder relations experience, and a track record of successfully managing complex issues for vulnerable populations.
Estimated Salary Range: $250,000 - $350,000 per year
