Diabetes Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join our team at NHS Highland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering specialist education, care, advice, and information to people with diabetes within the Highland region.
This role will support the Band 7 Diabetes Specialist Nurses in the provision of care to people using insulin pump therapy and young adults, as well as supporting diabetes care for women during pregnancy and contributing to the inpatient specialist nurse service.
To be successful in this role, you will be a first-level registered nurse with professional knowledge and clinical expertise of nursing, either through a relevant degree or proven in-depth knowledge and skills in this specialty area.
Post-registration diabetes-related courses or a willingness to undertake these would be advantageous, as would evidence of training in delivering education.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to work autonomously, are essential for this post.
