Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

GSL Education is working with a number of SEN Schools and Alternative Education Provisions across Waterlooville that are looking for Teaching Assistants.

About the Role

The needs of the pupils within the provisions vary from complex needs to challenging behaviour. These schools support the growth and development of pupils aged between 5-16 years and are responsible for devising a personalised curriculum for each child.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting a teacher with a small class of 4-8 pupils
  • Working with pupils with ASC, complex needs, challenging behaviour and SEMH
  • Full-time and part-time (ad-hoc) positions available
  • 1:1 work ensuring pupils stay on track with the curriculum
Requirements
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
