The Paediatric team at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a locum consultant paediatrician to support acute general paediatrics, neonatal care, and outpatients. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, dynamic department and gain excellent clinical experience in a supported environment.
Main DutiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for covering the general paediatric ward and admissions, level 1 + neonatal unit, labour ward, and transitional care. The post may also include a small number of resident night shifts, making it an ideal opportunity for a recently qualified consultant looking to step up to consultant working in our supportive department.

Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality clinical care to children and young people
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient care
- Participate in education and training programs to develop skills and knowledge
- Contribute to the development of the Paediatric department and services
We are looking for a consultant paediatrician who has:
- MRCPCH or equivalent
- CCT Paediatrics or within 6 months of CCT or equivalent
- On the GMC Specialist Register for Paediatrics
Desirable qualifications include postgraduate qualifications in child health or related subjects, education, or quality improvement.
