Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Paediatrician to join our dynamic team at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our patients, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing consultant-level care to our patients on the general paediatric ward and admissions
  • Working on the level 1 neonatal unit and labour ward
  • Participating in outpatients and safeguarding sessions
  • Contributing to the development of our department and the delivery of high-quality patient care

Person Specification

The successful candidate will possess:

  • MRCPCH or equivalent qualification
  • CCT Paediatrics or within 6 months of CCT or equivalent
  • On the GMC Specialist Register for Paediatrics
  • Broad training in General Paediatrics
  • Level 3 Neonatal Experience and Training
  • Training in developmental and community paediatrics appropriate for a General Paediatrician
  • Safeguarding training and experience
  • Up to date APLS/NLS

The successful candidate will also possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
