We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join our team at TechNichols Resourcing in Worcestershire. As a key member of the manufacturing department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our automated factory's equipment and machinery.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work on a continental shift pattern, with 4 days working from 6am to 6pm followed by 4 days off, then 4 days working from 7am to 7pm, and finally 4 nights working from 6pm to 6am with 4 days off. This unique schedule offers an excellent work-life balance and allows you to enjoy time with your family and pursue personal interests during your free days.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing planned preventative maintenance across various equipment and machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Detecting and resolving machinery issues through fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to plan and execute shutdowns, refurbish machines, and replace worn parts.

You will also have opportunities to develop new skills, receive additional training, and advance within the company.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must possess:

  • A recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience in industrial, production, or manufacturing environments.
  • Maintenance experience, including dealing with machinery and equipment problems and performing preventative maintenance.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, including belts, chains, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and fabrication.
  • A strong motivation to succeed and a willingness to learn and grow within the company.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £42,000 - £45,000 per annum, with additional benefits including overtime paid at x1.5 & x2.0, opportunities for career progression, and a comprehensive package to support your well-being and development.
