Job Description

A Mechanical Maintenance Technician is required to work within a manufacturing company at one of their leading automated factories. The role involves carrying out planned preventative maintenance across a range of equipment and machinery, dealing with machinery breakdowns and problems, fault finding, diagnostics and repairs.

About the Role

This varied and enjoyable role will challenge you to continuously improve machinery while being supported by a friendly and loyal team of Engineers working in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance across a range of equipment and machinery.
  • Deal with machinery breakdowns and problems, fault finding, diagnostics and repairs.
  • Assist with planned shut-downs and project work, refurbishing machines and replacing worn parts.
Requirements
  • Completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Mechanical Engineering qualifications.
  • Experience in a similar environment; Industrial, Production or Manufacturing environments - most considered.
  • Maintenance experience; dealing with machinery and equipment problems and breakdowns and/or completing preventative maintenance of plant/industrial machinery.
  • Any experience of SOME of the following; Belts, Chains, Gear Boxes, Pumps, Bearings, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Welding and Fabricating etc.
  • Motivated and driven to succeed.
  • Willing to take on and complete further training as part of your growth and development in the factory and company.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is between £42,000 - £45,000 Per Annum, with overtime paid at x1.5 & x2.0 + benefits and opportunities to progress up through their salary grades and receive enhancements.
