The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of professionals and ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, safe, and reliable service.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage a team of laboratory professionals to ensure the delivery of a high-quality, safe, and reliable service
* Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to ensure compliance with UKAS standards
* Collaborate with clinical colleagues to ensure the delivery of a first-class cellular pathology service
* Participate in the provision of a first-class cellular pathology service
* Conduct clinical practice in accordance with contractual requirements and within the parameters of the Trust's service plans

Person Specification:

* Full registration (and with a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC), or be eligible for registration within six months of interview
* On Specialist Register for Pathology via: CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview), CESR or European Community Rights, FRCPath or equivalent qualification
* Training in evidence-based practice
* Willing and able to work with colleagues in management and other specialties to ensure the delivery of a high-quality, safe, and reliable service
