Inventory Controller Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to join our team at our Retail Operations Distribution Centre in Middlewich, Cheshire. As an Inventory Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our stock and locations, working closely with our Goods-In Controllers to ensure effective arrival of stock, and supporting the accurate movement of stock throughout the Warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Audit stock levels to ensure accuracy and integrity
  • Collaborate with Goods-In Controllers to optimize stock arrival and processing
  • Support the effective utilization of Warehouse Management Systems
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC and CAA processes for bonded stock
  • Deliver internal stock control KPIs and contribute to the development of standard operating procedures
  • Operate and check various MHE equipment
  • Support the coaching of colleagues to work in a customer-focused and safety-conscious manner
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in stock and inventory management in a logistics/distribution environment
  • Experience with Audit and Warehouse Management Systems
  • Effective communication and attention to detail
  • Ability to support the training of operational colleagues
