Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Residential Worker at East Ayrshire Council. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for children and young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people, meeting their physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote the well-being and development of our residents.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to ensure the seamless delivery of care services.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting a sense of community and belonging among our residents.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

Regulated Work experience with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act.A Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme membership or the ability to become a member prior to employment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, residents, and external partners.A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and adapt to changing circumstances.
