Role Overview
A challenging opportunity has arisen for a Financial Operations Manager to join Axon Moore's established and reputable firm of chartered accountants in North Wales.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving business growth.
About the Role
- You will lead a highly professional and motivated small team of Payroll Administrators, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll tax legislation and reporting requirements, advising on potential impacts and implementing necessary adjustments.
- Act as the primary point of escalation for clients, addressing their concerns and making recommendations for improvement.
- Owning the client journey, you will ensure seamless service delivery and excellence at all times.
- Manual calculations of payroll taxes and NI will be undertaken when required, alongside managing various pension schemes.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and supervision of the payroll team, providing coaching and mentoring where necessary.
- Distribute workload effectively, enforcing deadlines to meet operational goals and conducting performance evaluations to enhance team performance.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in delivering fully managed payroll services is essential.
- You should have a proven ability to build and manage a highly motivated team.
- Excellent communication skills are required, including active listening and responding to client queries accurately.
- Skill in identifying potential payroll discrepancies and addressing them proactively is crucial.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, providing excellent customer service to clients, is vital.
- Understanding of software implementation is desirable.

Salary Estimate
