Position Overview:

A Technical Architect is sought to contribute to a groundbreaking platform initiative that delivers comprehensive AI solutions to both internal and external stakeholders. This role encompasses a multifaceted and fulfilling technical architecture position, addressing aspects from Identity and Access Management (IAM) to API design and Master Data Management (MDM). The ideal candidate will possess extensive core architecture expertise and demonstrate a pragmatic approach to making pivotal design choices, weighing all trade-offs, and effectively communicating rationale to engineering teams and senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected individual will join a team of four technical architects dedicated to the ongoing architecture and enhancement of our platform. Responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging in extensive technical architecture across integration, application, and data model domains.
  • Exhibiting familiarity with API design, data model architecture, and the ability to make informed decisions regarding platform architecture.
  • Maintaining a hands-on development background, enabling effective code review and collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Interacting directly with clients, including both technical and non-technical personnel, necessitating excellent communication skills.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should have:

  • Proven experience with GCP serverless components and their integration to create resilient, high-availability solutions.
  • Extensive background in designing and documenting architectures and applications in GCP, addressing a variety of technical and non-technical constraints.
  • Experience in making critical design decisions and documenting architecture decision records, ensuring clear communication of reasoning to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong expertise in API design, documentation, and versioning, particularly with GCP components.
  • Leadership experience in guiding development teams from a design and technical ownership perspective.
  • In-depth knowledge of application architecture within GCP, including appropriate technologies and patterns for various use cases.
  • Experience in estimating large-scale architectural changes, identifying risks and dependencies, and developing a prioritized roadmap.
  • Hands-on development experience, preferably in Python, and familiarity with complex enterprise software challenges.
  • Experience designing software for multi-tenant environments and expertise in data model design and standardization.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts.
  • A quality-first mindset, including familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code languages and advocating for developer quality through testing and code reviews.
