EHS Manager

LabCorp is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to join our team in Eye, Suffolk. As a leading contract research organization, we provide comprehensive drug development solutions for a range of industries.
About the Role:This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to provide leadership, direction, and technical expertise to minimize EHS-related risk for our Eye and Shardlow sites. You will work in conjunction with other UK sites to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee EHS operations for the Eye facility and manage up to 3 reports across our Eye and Shardlow facilities.
- Manage and administer environmental, health, and safety programs to meet regulatory requirements, corporate initiatives, and company objectives.
- Partner with site management to ensure applicable EHS-related goals and regulatory requirements.
- Perform supervisory duties for the EHS Department, including recruitment, performance evaluation, and career development.
- Provide advice and assessment on EHS-related risks, including biological agents, chemical safety, waste management, and radiation safety.
- Prevent work-related injuries and illnesses, ensuring accidents are reported, reviewed, and assessed.
- Bachelor's degree in Life or Physical Sciences.
- Extensive experience working in a laboratory or research and development setting or similar chemical or high-hazard industry.
- EHS experience from the above industries.
- Professional certification in Health and Safety and Biosafety.
- Occupational Hygiene and Environmental qualification desirable but not essential.
- Professional memberships, CertIOSH, BSP Level 1/RSB Registered Biorisk Specialist.
