Job Title: EHS Manager

LabCorp is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to join our team in Eye, Suffolk. As a leading contract research organization, we provide comprehensive drug development solutions for various industries.

In this role, you will provide leadership, direction, and technical expertise to minimize EHS-related risk for our Eye and Shardlow sites. You will oversee EHS operations, manage reports, and administer environmental, health, and safety programs to meet regulatory requirements and corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage EHS operations for the Eye facility and up to 3 reports across our Eye and Shardlow facilities
  • Administer environmental, health, and safety programs to meet regulatory requirements and corporate objectives
  • Partner with site management to ensure applicable EHS-related goals and regulatory requirements
  • Perform supervisory duties for the EHS Department, including recruitment, performance evaluation, and career development
  • Provide advice and assessment on EHS-related risks, including Biological Agents, Chemical Safety, Waste Management, and more

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Life or Physical Sciences
  • Extensive experience working in a laboratory or research and development setting or similar chemical or high-hazard industry
  • EHS experience from the above industries
  • Professional certification in Health and Safety and Biosafety
  • Occupational Hygiene and Environmental qualification desirable but not essential
