Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust as a skilled Administrative Support Professional. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent administration and secretarial experience, as well as exceptional communication skills.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Waiting List Management: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing waiting lists in accordance with the Patient Access Policy, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective care.
  2. Communication and Confidentiality: You will handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, using your personal judgement to assess each situation and respond accordingly.
  3. Effective Communication: Delivering high-quality communication is essential for building strong working relationships with colleagues, patients, and carers.
  4. Typing Skills: You will need to produce accurate and efficient typing to meet performance targets.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: GCSEs or equivalent, including maths and English, are required. NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent experience is also necessary.
  • Experience: Previous experience of working with medical terminology is essential.
Additional Requirements:
  • Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Able to Work as Part of a Team: You must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong problem-solving skills are necessary to ensure effective delivery of administrative services.
