About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Insurance Broker. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative and processing support to our Client Executives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the team with administrative and processing tasks, including preparation of documentation, setting up and maintaining client records, data input, and monitoring of client accounts.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the back office tasks, processes, and functions to provide effective support to Client Executives.
  • Work with minimal guidance to organize own work activities to ensure personal and team objectives are achieved.
  • Meet agreed targets and participate in team meetings as required, reporting on business progress within their area of expertise.
  • Manage assigned projects and contribute to other projects as required.
  • Provide relevant management information to senior managers.
Technical Requirements
  • Create client records and complete all relevant background checks.
  • Input risk data to records accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Review client documentation to ensure that information presented is sufficiently comprehensive and accurate to support the quoting process.
  • Collate and communicate client requirements to ensure appropriate marketing of the risk.
  • Prepare or check market presentations.
  • Respond to market and third-party queries as appropriate.
  • Be aware of and satisfy territory, tax, and legislation requirements.
  • Take responsibility for data entry, credit control, and chasing subjectivities where required.
  • Liaise with support technicians and IBA as required.
  • Ensure up-to-date records are maintained at all times on the Company system.
  • Know when to seek guidance from senior members of the team.
Policy, Process, and Procedures
  • Work within agreed parameters and use relevant systems to ensure documentation and communications adhere to company procedure and compliance requirements.
  • Process data promptly and accurately on relevant systems to support and improve high levels of client service and internal process execution.
  • Maintain appropriate client files and oversee the prompt and accurate production of documentation to best meet client, company, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure appropriate due diligence and sanctions checks are conducted in line with company procedures.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures and obtain necessary authorizations at appropriate points in the process.
Environment, Customer Focus, and Relationships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external contacts to ensure service delivery meets expectations and is compliant.
  • Provide support and assistance to senior colleagues and/or their clients on request.
  • Deal with or refer client enquiries, renewals, and mid-term adjustments.
  • Develop strong relationships with immediate team members and the wider business unit.
  • Solicit advice and guidance, when appropriate, from their line manager.
  • Behave with all clients fairly and ethically.
  • Share information that could be beneficial to the Operating Entity/Group.
People Management/Personal Development
  • Actively undertake personal development to ensure up-to-date knowledge and understanding of best practice.
  • Remain aware of external, industry, legal, and regulatory developments to ensure practice and outputs are of a sufficiently high standard.
  • Keep informed of all legal and regulatory developments relevant to the Operating Entity/Group.
Regulatory and Compliance
  • Ensure correct authorization is obtained and processes followed when required by the Operating Entity and/or Group.
  • Ensure performance, HR, and T&C records are up to date and meet the Operating Entity and/or Group's requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and deal with correspondence appropriately.
  • Operate in an honest, professional, and ethical manner.
  • Strictly adhere to the Group Employee Code of Conduct.
  • Complete all relevant regulatory training.
  • Comply with all applicable legal, fiscal, and regulatory obligations in the form of policies and procedures.
