About the Role

Cygnet Health Care is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Cygnet St Augustines, a 32-bed specialist high support inpatient rehabilitation service for men. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with their return to community living, providing a full multi-disciplinary programme that includes occupational therapy, psychology, psychiatry, and vocational training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment and treatment of occupational dysfunction under the supervision of a more senior Occupational Therapist.
  • Supervise others, with a focus on supporting student education within the team.
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans that promote independence and community integration.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience working in a mental health setting, preferably in a high support inpatient rehabilitation service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy theories and practices, with a focus on promoting independence and community integration.
