Sleep Disorder Breathing Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sleep Disorder Breathing Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert assessment and treatment of patients with obstructive sleep apnoea, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Main Responsibilities
The Sleep Disorder Breathing Nurse will be responsible for:
- Providing nurse-led outpatient and telephone support clinics for patients with sleep disordered breathing
- Managing a designated caseload of patients and coordinating their care with other healthcare professionals
- Working collaboratively with the Respiratory and Ear, Nose and Throat teams to ensure seamless care
- Providing education and support to patients and their families
- Participating in the development and implementation of sleep service policies and procedures
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Current registration with the NMC
- Post-registration experience in direct nursing care
- Experience of providing holistic nursing care
- A clear understanding of the contract of care
- The ability to adapt to different working environments
