Job Description:

Join our team as a Cloud Support Engineer - Gaming Systems at bet365, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful operation of our cloud-based gaming environment and platform. As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will contribute to team growth and innovation, working alongside gaming developers, software testers, and other teams to ensure optimal performance, availability, and reliability of our global-scale systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Triage and resolution of critical incidents affecting cloud-based gaming systems.
  2. System performance analysis, capacity planning, and monitoring checks to ensure optimal cloud performance.
  3. Release management activities to ensure seamless game updates and deployments.
  4. Provisioning new platforms and creation of automated workflows to streamline game development processes.
  5. Coordinating system changes and operations, including OS patching and upgrades, to maintain cloud stability.
  6. Troubleshooting server-related issues or hardware faults that impact cloud performance.
  7. Organizing firewall and content delivery network changes and resolving network connectivity issues to ensure cloud accessibility.
  8. Handling development environmental issues to prevent cloud disruptions.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a cloud-based gaming or technical support role with a strong understanding of cloud computing.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with attention to detail to resolve complex cloud-related issues.
  • A self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing cloud environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience liaising across technical domains to ensure cloud operations align with business goals.
  • Ability to make and act on decisions under pressure, resilient in challenging situations and adaptable to changing priorities.
