Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Tipton. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all manufacturing plant, equipment, and facilities are in good working order.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out repairs to various types of plant and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
- Assist in developing planned preventative maintenance schedules (PPM) to improve equipment reliability.
- Carry out PPM schedules as necessary and planned works orders as required.
- Collaborate with visiting specialist engineers when needed.
- Report breakdown root cause, equipment faults, and concerns to the line Manager.
- Perform troubleshooting to resolve minor repair issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records using CMMS.
- Plan and prioritize workload to support production and optimize working time.
- Contribute to meeting daily production targets.
- Fully document job tickets/CMMS on completion of work accurately and promptly.
- Typical tasks include responding to maintenance requests, diagnosing faults, repairing equipment, and returning it to operational service while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
- Identify spares requirements, log usage, and contribute to controlling inventory.
- Support the movement, installation, and repositioning of machines and equipment.
- Ensure line performance is optimized.
- Communicate any issues to the team leader or shift Production Manager.
- Notify Maintenance and Production Managers immediately of equipment breakdowns.
- Inform Management of stoppages lasting one hour or more.
As a Maintenance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and protecting our brand reputation. Our primary customer is Production.
