Maintenance Engineer - Plant and Equipment Specialist

At fish4.co - Jobboard, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer - Plant and Equipment Specialist to join our team. As an Apprentice Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining all manufacturing plant, equipment, and facilities in good working order.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out repairs to all types of plant and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
  • Assist in the development of planned preventative maintenance schedules (PPM).
  • Plan/prioritize workload to support production and ensure efficient use of working time.
  • Assist in the meeting of daily production plan.
  • Respond to maintenance requests for equipment faults, diagnose faults, repair, and return equipment to operational service.
  • Assist in the moving, installation, and repositioning of machines and equipment.

Health and Safety, Environment, and Housekeeping:

  • Work in compliance with the Health & Safety Policy to ensure hazards are identified and risk assessed and controlled.
  • Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to safety.
  • Work efficiently to not negatively affect the environment, waste materials unnecessarily, or damage company property.
  • Ensure any process change or improvement complies with all relevant health and safety policies.
  • Effectively communicate change, supporting affected individuals and monitoring transition.

Team Orientation:

  • Work as part of a team, suggesting ways to continually improve in a creative and inspirational manner.

Additional Responsibilities / Personal Performance:

  • Ensure line performance is optimized.
  • Communicate all issues to team leader/shift Production Manager.
  • Notify Maintenance and Production Managers immediately of services breakdown.
  • Notify Maintenance and Production Managers of any stoppages lasting one hour or more.

Customer Focus:

  • Consider team behavior in relation to customer satisfaction and ensure brand protection occurs.
  • Recognize that production is our primary customer.
